So how can I transfer my Live Photos to my Macbook? Connect the iPhone to your MB with it's USB cable, open PHotos and import all or just selected photos into the library. Then in the sidebar under Albums click on the Live Photos icon. That will give you all of the Live Photos in the library.
How to Get Photos from Mac to iPhone Using iTunes
To use the export method:
Go to Settings > Photos. In the "Transfer to Mac or PC" section, disable "Keep Originals" to ensure the media will be converted when importing. If iCloud Photo Library has been enabled and your iPhone is storing photos in iCloud and only mirroring them on Your iPhone, you cannot import them by USB from the device.
Using the USB Cable Connector Open iPhoto on your Mac (or similar photo import software for PC). It should detect the GoPro as an external device, and launch the importing process. Select the videos you want to import, and (in the case of iPhoto), select Import Selected.
On your Mac, open Launchpad and search for Image Capture to open it. Connect your iPhone to your Mac with a USB cable. Under Devices on the sidebar, click your iPhone. Your photos will appear on the screen.
Open Photos App on your iPhone. Select the photos you want to import from your iPhone to Mac. Click the Share button and click the name of your Mac in the AirDrop section to import photos from iPhone to Mac without iPhoto.
Photos displays all the photos and videos on the device. Tip: If you want Photos to open whenever you connect this device, select the Open Photos checkbox. If you want to delete photos from the camera after importing them, select the “Delete items” checkbox. This option does not appear for all cameras.

Launch the Lightroom app, and navigate to All Photos or select an album. The Import button appears at the bottom-right corner of the screen. Connect your mobile device to the camera memory card, camera, or USB storage device. In the Device connected dialog box, tap Continue.
To organize imported photos into albums, select photos in the Imports album and drag them into albums in the sidebar. If you have photos taken with a film camera, you can import them into Photos by converting them to digital files (using the Image Capture app and a home scanner).
