Enabling Messages in iCloud will sync all your iMessage and SMS text, including images and attachments, with all your Apple devices using the same Apple ID. It will provide you with a unique messaging experience as you get the same view on every device.
On your Mac
Should you wish to turn off Messages in iCloud, be aware that it may take some time for each device to download all the messages. For most people, Messages in iCloud is a no-brainer. Its syncing works the way you'd expect, complete with quick updates and universal removal of deleted conversations.

When you turn on Messages in iCloud, your message history will be updated automatically on all of your devices. That way, you'll always have the same view available wherever you use iMessage. If you have deleted a message, photo or conversation on one device, it will be removed from all of your devices.
