Use the above text input fields to highlight the "Cut or copy this text" text and press either Ctrl + C to copy or Ctrl + X to cut the text. Once cut, move to the next field and press Ctrl + V or Shift + Insert to paste the text.

Macs come with a Text app, which is a perfect place to paste and save text and images. Press Command + V to paste. This will paste the text and/or images from the clipboard.
Mac users:
Long press on the text and cut/copy options will appear at the top. long press again to paste.
It's the same on any Apple device with a keyboard: command-c/command-v. You can press and hold the command key in any app on the iPad to reveal what keyboard shortcuts are available.
To Copy text: Touch the 'two pages' icon to copy the highlighted text so you can paste it elsewhere. To Paste text: Navigate to the email, app or document where you want to paste the etxt then simply tap some open space to bring up a 'Paste' tab. Tap Paste and the highlighted text will appear.
