You can also go to the toolbar at the top of your Mac's screen and select the “Copy” option from the “Edit” menu (if available). Now, go to the place where you want to paste the content and right-click on your mouse or trackpad. Here, select the “Paste” option.
Right click on the screenshot and select Copy. If you need to copy a screenshot after you first take it, locate the screenshot, right click it, and select Copy. You can then paste the screenshot into a document, email, or photo editor.

Macs come with a Text app, which is a perfect place to paste and save text and images. Press Command + V to paste. This will paste the text and/or images from the clipboard.
Sometimes, it can mean that some other app is conflicting with the standard keyboard shortcuts or the Mouse Key is enabled. If the copy and paste feature is still not working, you can restart the Mac by going to the Apple menu and choosing the Restart button.
