Go to the Find My app, tap the Me tab, and turn Tracking Notifications on.
Use the Find My app to let a friend know when your location changes. You can also get a notification when your friend's location changes. See Get notified when a friend's location changes in Find My on iPhone.
A Find My [device] alert appears on the device's screen. A confirmation email is also sent to your Apple ID email address. If the device is offline: You see Sound Pending. The sound plays the next time the device connects to a Wi-Fi or cellular network.

There are two ways to see your alerts from the Notification Center:
What Does “Find My iPhone Alert” Mean? Find My iPhone Alert means getting location-based alerts on your iPhone. So, if your location is changed or your device connects to the internet, an email is sent to your Apple ID email address. If your device is off, then your device will be on sound pending mode.

Location history with Google maps will be able to tell you the last location of your lost iPhone even without Find My iPhone. If you haven't enabled Google Maps location history, consider doing it now in case you lose the phone in the future. Head over to www.google.com/maps/timeline.
To send requests for live locations, select the individual who has access to your whereabouts in the “People” window. Scroll and find the prompt that lets you ask people to follow their location. Click the option, and the platform will notify the other user that you want to track their live whereabouts.
Look for your device on a map To find your device, sign in to iCloud.com/find. Or use the Find My app on another Apple device that you own. If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch doesn't appear in the list of devices, Find My was not turned on. But you can still protect your account if Find My was not turned on.
